A few years ago I bought an OVN, and it has been such a great choice. We always take the OVN in our camper—not just to enjoy the warmth during our autumn and winter trips, but also to cook with it, on top of and inside the oven. From fresh pizzas to sausage rolls and roasted dishes with potatoes and vegetables, it does it all. On top, I can even use a griddle for burgers or a tasty steak.

We even brought the OVN on our adventure to Scotland. We rented an Overland Land Rover with two roof tents and went wild camping in May. The OVN fits compactly in the vehicle, and burning pellets causes little to no disturbance. A bit of smoke appears when lighting, but once the roll-up chimney heats up, it disappears.

I’ve had the pellet stove for six months now, and since then it goes with us on all our camper trips. In winter, it works wonderfully as a heater to stay nice and warm, and in summer we use it as an oven for cooking. It allows you to be completely off-grid, and we hardly use our electric oven anymore. Lighting it is very easy, and it heats up in no time. You turn it on and don’t have to worry about it. With the pizza stone, you can make the most delicious pizzas, but breakfast rolls work quickly and easily too.

We have two fixed stove pipes with a 45-degree elbow, allowing us to place the stove under the awning, which is perfect in winter. In short, we’re super happy with it, and it also sparks great conversations—everyone wants to see what kind of stove you have.

On my last camping trip to Wales with three good friends, the OVN was an absolute game-changer. The unfortunately chilly autumn evenings brought us together under the tarp, where the OVN not only provided warmth but also became the heart of our cozy nights. While enjoying the warmth of the OVN, we grilled the perfect entrecôte and made flammkuchen as if we had brought a small gourmet restaurant with us.
